Top Four Attractions in Dubai
If you’re looking for a fun-filled destination to visit during your next holiday, Dubai is the ideal location!
The luxurious city is home to a number of amazing attractions that draw people to Dubai year-after-year, and we have put together a short guide that includes three of these popular attractions that we think you should add to your itinerary:
Aquaventure Water Park
Aquaventure Water Park is located at Atlantis, The Palm resort and is one of the most popular Dubai Water Parks. Filled to the brim with record breaking rides and slide, it is the perfect retreat from Dubai’s sometimes harsh heat, and provides a fun day out for every member of the family.
Split into two areas – The Tower of Poseidon and The tower of Neptune – each area has their very own range of slides that are perfect for thrill seekers, adrenaline junkies and families alike.
The Tower of Neptune is home to the Leap of Faith, a nine-storey high slide that drops riders down at a near vertical angle, and visitors can find the monstrous Aquaconda in The Tower of Poseidon. These are just two of the amazing rides available!
A Souk is a traditional market in the UAE, and there is a variety to choose from in the UAE, including the perfume souk, textile souk, spice souk, and the well-known gold souk.
Located in the heart of Dubai’s commercial business district in Deira, the Gold Souk provides travellers with the opportunity to indulge in a variety of gold goods at reasonable prices – as there is the chance to haggle and get the best price possible.
The stores at the Gold Souk also offer platinum, diamonds and sometimes silver, all of which are very high in quality, ensuring that every purchase a buyer walk away with is genuine and worth every penny.
The Dubai Fountain
The world’s largest choreographed fountain system, The Dubai Fountain, is a popular attraction that draws in viewers with its beautiful shows.
Located on the 24-acre Burj Lake, The Dubai Fountain has water jets that shoot as high as 140-metres high. Performing every day to approximately 35 different songs, some of which include Baba Yetu – an award-winning song in Swahili – and Con tePartiro (Time to Say Goodbye), it is a visual spectacle that shouldn’t be missed!
While performing, the jets of water dance while 25 colour projectors create an amazing visual spectrum of over 1 000 abstract attractions.
Ski Dubai is the Middle East’s first indoor ski centre and is a bizarre change of weather in comparison to Dubai’s sometimes harsh heat just outside the walls.
Home to five different runs – including a black run for those who are seasoned skiers or snowboarders, a number of jumps and rails, a Zip Line, toboggan run and the opportunity for newbies to have their first lesson, this snowy paradise is a fantastic attraction suitable for the whole family.
For those who are not so interested in taking to the snow themselves, Ski Dubai has two cafes where they can keep warm and indulge in a hot drink while watching their friends or family enjoy their snowy surroundings below.
See the best of Dubai by visiting all four of the amazing attractions mentioned in our guide.
